3D-printable mecanum wheel (smaller version)
11/08/2019
So I finally got all of the wheels printed and I got to test the robot platform with mecanum wheels. (I'm going to publish a video about these soon!) I still have no bearings on the wheels, but they seem to be working (not perfectly though) without the bearings. I uploaded the STL-files to Thingiverse and I hope that the bearings will arrive soon so I can tell if the wheels do even work with the bearings.
BOM (4 pcs of mecanum wheels)
- TPU for the wheels (Other flex-filaments could work too.)
If you don't have TPU yet, here's a link to Amazon.de (from Germany). This is the same filament that I bought for this project. https://amzn.to/2YGRzRe - PLA or something else for the body of the wheel
- 32 pcs of M3x35 screws (link here, this time from eBay [China])
- 24 pcs (12 pcs will be enough though) of M3x30 screws (link here, also eBay)
- 64 pcs of 3x6x2.5mm bearings (I haven't tested these yet, but here is a link to eBay too)
- 38 pcs of M3 nyloc
- 2 pcs of 1_bottomBody
- 2 pcs of 1_topBody
- 2 pcs of 2_bottomBody
- 2 pcs of 2_bottomBody
- 32 pcs of roller_tpu
- 64 pcs of roller_body
- 4 pcs of axelAdapter
